Teaching Career
Dave Godfrey is an experienced primary teacher, trainer, presenter, author and songwriter. Dave taught throughout the Primary age-range during his year 8 teaching career in York and North Yorkshire. Dave has also spent five years working as a teacher for the York Schools and Youth Trust (YOYO), a Christian Educational Charity. During this time he regularly visited schools to lead Collective Worship and R.E. lessons. In 1999/2000 Dave led a big Millennium Educational Project called 'Timewarp 2000' which involved over 10,000 children.
Songwriting Career
Dave has been writing songs since 1998 and has now produced a collection of recordings of Christian Childrens music. He has also recorded CD's for use in schools. Details of these recordings can be found on the Dave's recordings page and in the Shop.
Omega Zone Team
Dave's work with churches goes under the name of The Omega Zone. But the Omega Zone is more than just one man. Dave is supported by many people, check out the Team page to find out about just some of the people behind the scenes of the Omega Zone.
Number Fun
Dave now spends some of his time travelling to schools to present his material at Teacher Training events and on his special 'Number Fun' Activity Days. He has also produced four 'Number Fun' Song Resource Pack's, they each comprises a of 54 page Book, Full Track and Backing Track CDs with high quality recordings of around 20 Number Fun songs each. Personal
Dave is married to Menna and they have 3 children named Timothy, Anna and Esther.
Dave is a mad Colchester United Fan and he is getting very excited about their successes this season. He is also a Surrey Cricket Fan (claim to fame - played for Surrey when he was a kid!). Dave loves Lions Wine Gums and is passionate for Star Trek!
