Writing a song and making music
This song is based on verse 5 of Psalm 92. The man who wrote the song we call Psalm 92 wrote his song about how good it is to praise God. He used music to tell of all great things that He has done and all that He has made in creation. Everything God does shows how great and good He is. It goes on to say how deep God's thoughts are too.
When Dave read this psalm and thought about God's wonderful thoughts and actions (what God does and has done) it made him want to write a song too!
Song-writing and music email challenge
Have a go at writing your own song about God and what He does. You might want to include some of the words in the Psalms as well as your own words. Or if you play an instrument, have a go at playing some music to God to express what you feel about Him and what He has done. Write down the words or notes — I'd love to read your songs and music so please email them to me if you'd like to.
Your thoughts
Isaiah 55 verses 8 and 9 say, "Your thoughts are not like my thoughts... my thoughts are higher than your thoughts". God knows so much more than we do so it makes sense that His thoughts are so much deeper and higher than ours ever could be. His wisdom in how He does things and the detail He thought to put into creating us and the rest of the universe is amazing and it's worth praising Him for!
Take a walk
Take a walk round your garden or look at the gardens you walk past as you are out playing or on your way somewhere. Look at how detailed each leaf and flower is, look at the delicate wings of a bee or a butterfly. If God took such care at how He made those, just think how deeply He thinks about you and how wonderfully He made you!
